The new season of Liga Portugal on beIN SPORTS gets underway with Sporting CP on the road

Liga Portugal has a brand-new home in the United States with the best of the action live and exclusively on beIN SPORTS.

Sporting CP lead the way on Saturday with the team's season-opener at Estrela Amadora. The side led by Rui Borges is one of the favorites in the title race along with Benfica and reigning champions, Porto. However, Sporting CP has seen a significant number of changes from the team that finished in second place last season.

Geovany Quenda, Morten Hjulmand and Francisco Trincão have all departed. Nevertheless, Sporting CP has been aggressive in the transfer market with the arrival of quality players such as the Uruguayan attacking midfielder, Rodrigo Zalazar. 

The Colombian striker, Luis Suarez, is set to lead the line once again having scored an incredible 28 goals in last year's Liga Portugal campaign. 

Saturday's opponents, Estrela Amadora, hails from the outskirts of Lisbon and finished just outside the relegation last season and face a tough start to the new campaign on beIN SPORTS.
