Jamal Musiala Collapses Again During Match, Raising Fresh Concerns

  • Jamal Musiala sparked another worrying moment during a Bayern Munich friendly after collapsing on the pitch for the second time in just four days.

Concerns are growing once again around Jamal Musiala. The German international collapsed during another Bayern Munich preseason match, just four days after experiencing a similar episode against RB Leipzig.

This time, the incident occurred during a friendly against Heidenheim. Musiala had come off the bench only eight minutes earlier when, around the 68th minute with the score tied 2-2, he suddenly went down on the pitch.

His teammates quickly gathered around him to check on his condition as the Bayern Munich medical staff entered the field to provide assistance. The scene caused particular concern because it closely resembled what had happened only days earlier.

Musiala Was Able to Walk Off the Field

Fortunately, Musiala recovered after receiving medical attention and was able to walk toward the locker room alongside one of the club’s doctors. The German international was substituted and did not return to the match, which Bayern Munich eventually won 4-2.

The latest incident came after Musiala trained separately from the rest of the squad on Monday following the scare he experienced in the friendly against RB Leipzig.

In that match, Musiala came on during the second half, scored a goal and later collapsed on the pitch. Initial examinations ruled out a serious problem, while Max Eberl subsequently confirmed that the player was doing well.

Second Episode in Just Four Days

Bayern Munich explained that the first fainting episode was related to heat and dehydration. That match was played in temperatures of around 91°F (33°C), with the weather conditions identified as a contributing factor.

However, a second incident in such a short period has once again raised concerns about Musiala, particularly following his recent return from a lengthy injury absence.

The Bavarian club will now closely monitor the midfielder’s condition ahead of its upcoming competitive fixtures. Bayern Munich will face Borussia Dortmund in the German Super Cup on Saturday, with the Bundesliga season scheduled to begin the following weekend.

For now, the main focus will be on Musiala’s condition and whether he will be able to return to training as usual after collapsing for the second time in just four days.
