CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores 2025 Group Stage Draw
The current Copa Libertadores champion, Botafogo, will look to add another title to its collection as the group stage begins, where they will face Estudiantes de La Plata, Universidad de Chile, and Carabobo, as determined by the draw held this Monday in Luque, Paraguay.
Botafogo, who defeated Atlético Mineiro 3-1 in the 2024 final to win their first-ever Copa Libertadores title, is the top seed in Group A for the 66th edition of the tournament.
Groups with Great Tradition
- Group B
Four-time Libertadores champion, River Plate, will head Group B and is drawn with Ecuador's Independiente del Valle and Barcelona, as well as Universitario from Peru. - Group C
Flamengo, two-time Libertadores winner, leads Group C, where they will face Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito, who has also been a champion, Deportivo Táchira, and Central Córdoba.
- Group E
The current Copa Sudamericana champions, Racing Club, will meet Colo Colo, Fortaleza, and Atlético Bucaramanga in Group E. - Groups D and G
São Paulo and Palmeiras, both three-time Libertadores champions, will head Groups D and G, respectively.
A total of thirty-two teams will compete in the group stage of the Copa Libertadores. Twenty-eight of these teams qualified directly, while four come from the third qualifying round. The teams finishing first and second in each group will advance directly to the Round of 16.

- Group H: Peñarol (URU), Olimpia (PAR), Vélez Sarsfield (ARG), and San Antonio (BOL).
