How Much Does It Cost to Attend the Boca Juniors vs. Fluminense Final?
On the eve of the grand Copa Libertadores final between Boca Juniors, figures regarding the ticket prices to witness the champion of the South American continental tournament have been revealed, and they now exceed a thousand dollars.
As we await the arrival of the last blue and gold fans in the city of Rio de Janeiro, it can be said that around 20,000 supporters will be present inside the Maracanã for the big match. However, a total of 80,000 to 90,000 fans are expected to support Boca Juniors in a wild weekend for the city, which will also host a performance by the Funk-Rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers.
With these numbers, it can be affirmed that the 20,000 tickets made available by CONMEBOL turned out to be limited, as there will be more than double that number in Rio this weekend. It is also a fact that not everyone possesses a ticket, which currently costs $1,300, as reported by the newspaper 'La Nación.'
To put it in perspective with other major events, for the Super Bowl to be held in Las Vegas, where you can enjoy the halftime show with Usher, a ticket already costs over $7,000. Thus, it can be considered 'affordable' for a Boca fan to pay a little over a thousand dollars to see their team become champions.
When compared to the last World Series played between the Texas Rangers and the Arizona Diamondbacks, the average price to attend Games 1 and 2 at the Globe Life Field in Arlington was $1,145, closer to the resale figure of the big match to be played at the Maracanã.
