Nacional Holds São Paulo to a Draw at Home in Copa Libertadores
Nacional and São Paulo played to a 0-0 draw in the first leg of the CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores Round of 16.
Nacional dominated at home, taking more shots on goal and shutting down the Brazilian offense, preventing them from getting a single shot on target. However, they couldn’t find the back of the net to take the lead.
São Paulo, on the other hand, focused on defending the draw to keep their chances alive, despite having more possession but no shots on goal.
With this result, Nacional will head to Brazil aiming to snatch a win on the road to stay in the tournament, while São Paulo will have the home advantage in front of their fans to try and secure a spot in the Quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores.
