How Does the 2025 FIFA Intercontinental Cup Work?
Four continental champions meet in Doha, live on beIN SPORTS, to determine the ultimate winner of 2025.
The aim of the 2025 FIFA Intercontinental Cup is simple: to crown the champion of champions in world soccer — and every match will be broadcast live on beIN SPORTS.
Although the champions of the latest editions of the UEFA Champions League, Concacaf Champions League, Copa Libertadores, and CAF Champions League are all in Doha for three decisive games, the tournament has technically been underway since September.
Back in that month, two matches saw the Egyptian champions of Africa, Pyramids, defeat Auckland City, winners of the OFC 2025 Champions League. Pyramids then went on to beat Al-Ahli, champions of Asia. Their next challenge will arrive in the second match of the Doha stage, the Challenger Cup, taking place on Saturday.
Road to the Final in Doha
The action in Qatar begins on Wednesday, when Cruz Azul (Concacaf champions) face Flamengo (Copa Libertadores champions) in a single-elimination match. The winner will advance to take on Pyramids in Saturday’s Challenger Cup.
The Ultimate Showdown
Whichever team emerges victorious from those matchups will move on to face PSG, the reigning UEFA Champions League champions, in the grand final on Wednesday, December 17.
All three matches promise elite-level, intercontinental competition, showcasing the world’s most successful clubs in a unique format that brings global football together.
