Spain is one match away from winning its second FIFA World Cup title. If Luis de la Fuente's side defeats Argentina in the 2026 World Cup Final, the celebrations will continue the following day with official ceremonies and a victory parade through Madrid.

The Spanish squad is expected to return home around midday on Monday before beginning a full schedule of celebrations if it lifts the trophy in New York.

When will Spain return home?

Spain is expected to arrive in Madrid around midday on Monday.

After landing, the players will have lunch and rest before taking part in the official celebrations planned in the event of a World Cup triumph.

Official receptions with King Felipe VI and Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez

The team's first official stop would be the Royal Palace of Zarzuela, where King Felipe VI is expected to receive the squad.

Later, the players would travel to Moncloa Palace for an official reception with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.

Spain's victory parade route through Madrid

Following the official receptions, Spain will celebrate with supporters aboard an open-top bus through the streets of Madrid.

The parade will begin at the Moncloa transport interchange before continuing along Calle Princesa and Alberto Aguilera, finishing at Plaza de Colón.

The area is home to the so-called Plaza de la Selección, where a giant screen has been installed throughout the World Cup for supporters to watch Spain's matches.

Cibeles will host the final celebration

After leaving Plaza de la Selección, the parade will continue to Plaza de Cibeles.

The iconic square will host the main ceremony and the final celebration with thousands of supporters if Spain defeats Argentina to become 2026 FIFA World Cup champion.
