Paraguayan Senator Launches New Attack on Mbappé
The controversy surrounding Kylian Mbappé continues to grow after Paraguayan senator Celeste Amarilla launched another public attack on the French star. The dispute has now expanded beyond football, drawing more political figures into the debate.
The dispute between Kylian Mbappé and members of Paraguay's political establishment continues to escalate following La Albirroja's elimination from the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Days after her controversial remarks sparked widespread backlash, Senator Celeste Amarilla has once again publicly criticized the Real Madrid forward, reigniting a controversy that has extended well beyond the football pitch.
What began after the match between France and Paraguay has now evolved into a broader public dispute involving accusations, official responses, and comments widely condemned as discriminatory.
Celeste Amarilla Renews Her Criticism
During another speech before the Paraguayan Senate, Celeste Amarilla claimed her anger stemmed from what she described as Mbappé's behavior toward goalkeeper Orlando Gill after the final whistle.

According to the senator, the French forward refused to shake the young Paraguayan goalkeeper's hand and shouted at him following the match. Amarilla described the incident as unacceptable and once again directed harsh insults toward the French international, reigniting public debate in both Paraguay and abroad.
Her latest remarks come after Mbappé publicly responded to her previous statements, describing the senator as "despicable" while condemning the racist comments that had been directed at him.
The Controversy Expands Inside Paraguay's Senate
The dispute is no longer limited to Celeste Amarilla. Senator Nano Galaverna also criticized Mbappé, calling him arrogant while making remarks that many observers described as homophobic.
Ironically, the two lawmakers have long been political rivals, with Galaverna previously accusing Amarilla of displaying discriminatory behavior herself. Despite their differences, both have united in their criticism of the France captain.
