In the middle of an impressive season with the Reds, the 26-year-old midfielder made it clear that his focus is entirely on the present and on his current club, shutting down any talk—for now—of switching teams.

“The present is what matters”

“I read the rumors and I hear the news, but the present is what matters. Even if a club wants me, if I have a bad game on the weekend, they’ll lose interest,” Mac Allister told TyC Sports. Since joining in 2023, the Argentine has become a key player for Liverpool, and his performances have caught the eye of clubs like Real Madrid, who are going through a rebuild after crashing out of the Champions League and possibly missing out on LaLiga.

It’s not the first time Mac Allister’s name has been linked with the Spanish giants, but he’s staying grounded. “I’m happy at Liverpool and I don’t feel the need to go anywhere.
