Guardiola Reveals Why He Chose to Stay at Manchester City and Not Go to Brazil
Pep Guardiola, who extended his contract with Manchester City for two more seasons, stated that at the English club, he has everything he desires as a coach.
The Spanish manager will surpass a decade in Manchester, after spending four years at Barcelona and three at Bayern Munich.
"Manchester City means a lot to me. This is my ninth season here. We’ve had incredible times together, and I have a great feeling for this club. That’s why I’m so happy to stay for another two seasons," Guardiola said in a statement.
"It has always been an honor, a privilege, and a pleasure to be here. I’ve said it many times, but I have everything a coach could wish for, and I appreciate it a lot," he added.
Guardiola, who joined City in 2016, has won 18 titles during this time, including six Premier League titles, four of them consecutively, and the club’s first-ever Champions League trophy.
"I hope we can win several more titles. That’s my goal," he stated.
