Manchester United Faces Unprecedented Situation Not Seen Since 1976
Kobbie Mainoo's absence from the England squad has led to this unusual situation, which hasn't occurred in nearly 50 years.
Kobbie Mainoo's absence due to a physical issue has resulted in England's squad for the upcoming Nations League matches against Greece and Finland being the first without any Manchester United players since 1976.
Alongside Mainoo, Ezri Konsa has also dropped out of the list after suffering a hamstring injury during the goalless draw between Aston Villa and Manchester United, while Morgan Gibbs-White sustained an injury in the 1-1 draw between Nottingham Forest and Chelsea.
Carsley will retain a squad of 22 players and will not call up any replacements.
England, who won their first two matches under Carsley against Finland and the Republic of Ireland, will face Greece on Thursday at Wembley and Finland three days later in Helsinki.
