The Endless Nightmare Of Mason Mount
Mason Mount, Manchester United player, will be out for "several weeks" due to a muscle injury sustained in last weekend's match against Manchester City.
The English player lasted only a few minutes on the field before having to leave the game injured, adding another issue to his troubled time at Old Trafford.
Since joining United in the summer of 2023 for €64 million, Mount has only managed to play 32 matches, contributing one goal and one assist. This season, he has already missed eleven games due to injury.
"He will be out for several weeks. I don’t know the exact date of his return, but he will be out for quite some time. It’s part of football," said Rúben Amorim in a press conference this Friday, where he also addressed the recurring injury problems of the midfielder.
"That’s not my department. What I can do is teach him how we want to play while he’s recovering, and let him use that time to think about different things. The worst part is that you don’t have time to train properly when you’re recovering from so many injuries. We’re always traveling, and we don’t get enough time to train all together," he added.
