HE’S NOT FOR SALE! Manchester United makes a firm decision on Bruno Fernandes’ future

Manchester United appear ready to put an end once and for all to speculation surrounding Bruno Fernandes’ future.

The Red Devils captain has attracted interest from several clubs during this transfer window, but the response from Old Trafford has reportedly been emphatic: the Portuguese midfielder remains a key part of the club’s sporting project.

Old Trafford shuts the door on his suitors

According to information published by GOAL, Manchester United will reject any offer that arrives for Fernandes before the transfer window closes, regardless of the amount offered.

Among the clubs monitoring the midfielder’s situation are Galatasaray, Juventus and AC Milan. The Turkish side had even reportedly considered a deal that could reach €50 million.

A very different stance from last summer

During the previous transfer window, United allowed Fernandes to personally decide whether he wanted to accept a major offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal, a stance that later caused some discomfort for the player.

Fernandes admitted that the situation had affected him because he interpreted it as a sign that the club did not consider him completely indispensable to their plans.

This time, the board appears determined to avoid a similar scenario and has reportedly made it clear to both the player and potential suitors that their captain is not available on the market.

A difficult player to replace

The midfielder recorded 21 assists during the previous Premier League season, a competition record, once again establishing himself as one of the English side’s main creative forces.

For that reason, Manchester United’s plan appears to be much more focused on building and strengthening the team around Fernandes rather than searching for a replacement for one of their key players.
