(VIDEO) Neymar’s Bold Champions League Prediction for Real Madrid, Barcelona, and PSG... And the Shocking Result
The UEFA Champions League is a competition that is very difficult to predict, and I can’t imagine the pressure involved in playing in it... But someone who has experienced it firsthand is Neymar, who boldly shared his predictions for the first-leg quarterfinal matches.
Neymar’s Predictions for the Champions League Quarterfinals
In a video promoted by the Kings League, the Brazilian footballer, currently away from the highest competitive level in Europe, didn't hesitate to give his favorites for this stage of the competition. In fact, he made a misstep by picking Real Madrid as the winner, only to see them thrashed by Arsenal.
He also didn't forget about his former teams, as he predicted victories for PSG and Barcelona, while choosing Bayern Munich in their matchup against Inter Milan.
Neymar Training for His Comeback
Neymar returned to training this Tuesday with the Santos squad after a month of recovery due to a left thigh injury, according to the Brazilian club.
The number 10 started the session with warm-up exercises alongside his teammates and later took part in a collective ball control and passing drill. During the 30 minutes of open training to the press, the Brazilian star showed no signs of discomfort from his injury, as reported by sports outlet 'Ge'.
Over the past month, Neymar has focused on physiotherapy, recovery work, and muscle strengthening, due to an injury that kept him out of Santos' matches and the Brazilian national team, for which he had been called up (and then dropped) for World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina.
Santos will continue with daily training sessions this week ahead of their match against Fluminense next Sunday for the Brazilian Championship.
National media suggest that Neymar might be available for coach Pedro Caixinha, possibly even for a few minutes in that match.
The last time Neymar trained with the team was on March 6, before their match against Corinthians in the Paulista Championship semifinal, a game he ended up watching from the bench due to his injury.
