Arteta Declares Arsenal's Victory to Be Like a Dream
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta expressed that he hadn't even dreamed of a result like the 6-0 triumph against Lens, marking his biggest victory since joining the Emirates Stadium in 2019.
The 'Gunners' dominated Lens 6-0, securing advancement to the Round of 16 as group leaders. This achievement marks their first appearance in the Champions League knockout stage since the 2016-2017 season.
"I hadn't even dreamed of this. We top the group, and we've done it convincingly. We displayed a lot of aggression and determination to go for the match. Everything went well in the first 30 minutes, and that helped a lot," stated the Spanish coach in a press conference.
Looking ahead to the final match against PSV Eindhoven, where they have nothing at stake, Arteta affirmed that they will aim to win but will "provide opportunities for other players."
