Barcelona Train Normally Despite Power Outage in Spain
Despite a major power outage across Spain, Barcelona’s teams managed to complete their training sessions thanks to backup generators at the Joan Gamper Training Center.
The various squads of Barcelona were able to hold their training sessions on Monday morning at the Joan Gamper Training Center, despite the widespread power outage that affected much of Spain and other parts of Europe. The club's facilities are equipped with automatic backup generators, allowing both the handball and futsal teams to complete their scheduled practices.
First Team Wraps Up Session Before the Outage
The Barcelona men's first team managed to train without interruptions at 11:00 a.m., about an hour and a half before the power cut occurred. Under the guidance of Hansi Flick, all available players worked on the pitch at the Tito Vilanova Training Field, focusing on their upcoming UEFA Champions League challenge.
The atmosphere was lively after their 3-2 victory over Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final on Sunday. Now, the team's full attention turns to the first leg of the Champions League semifinals against Inter Milan, set to take place Wednesday at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium.
Barcelona’s Schedule Remains on Track
Barcelona is scheduled to train again this Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Joan Gamper Training Center. Later, around 1:00 p.m., head coach Hansi Flick and young forward Lamine Yamal will hold a press conference ahead of the crucial semifinal clash.
Thanks to the quick activation of the backup generators, the club was able to maintain its regular preparation without disruptions — a key advantage during such a critical week for the Catalan giants.
