Lunin Calls Real Madrid's Consecutive Losses “Inexplicable”
Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin described his team’s recent defeats to Barcelona (0-4) and Milan (1-3) as “inexplicable,” emphasizing the need for a thorough analysis of what went wrong.
“I can’t wish you a good night. These last two losses are inexplicable. We need to analyze them carefully and react quickly. We have to bounce back,” he told Movistar+.
He insisted he doesn’t see the team feeling nervous, despite the tough times. “Unfortunately, in football, there are tough moments, bad streaks. We understand we’re Real Madrid, and we have to win every game—no excuses. We need to react fast, win the next match, limit chances against us, and take advantage of ours. I don’t see anyone nervous or having issues,” he added.
Lunin also addressed the fans’ whistles at halftime due to Madrid’s poor performance. “The Bernabéu has always been a demanding stadium. This helps us in tough times because of the unforgettable games we’ve won. The fans are always with us, and all I can do is thank them and work to improve,” he concluded.
