The Real Madrid center-back Ibrahima Konaté will leave the French national team's training camp and return to the Spanish capital after suffering a mild sprain in his right knee, according to the French Football Federation reported this Thursday.

Konaté felt discomfort during Wednesday's training and withdrew from the session as a precaution. The medical tests he subsequently underwent confirmed the injury, which will prevent him from participating in the four Nations League matches that France will play during this international break.

The defender will miss the matches against Turkey this Friday, Italy on October 2, and Belgium, a rival that the French team will face twice, on September 28 and October 5.

Leny Yoro will take his place in the squad called up by the team managed by Zinedine Zidane, while Konaté will continue his recovery under the supervision of the Real Madrid medical staff.
