Kvaratskhelia seals PSG move from Napoli
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has swapped Serie A for Ligue 1, with the forward completing his move to Paris Saint-Germain from Napoli for a reported fee of €70 million ($116.1 million).
The Georgia international, who put in a transfer request last week with Napoli, has put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year deal at PSG, where he will wear the number 7 shirt for Luis Enrique's side.
Kvaratskhelia played a starring role as Napoli romped to its third Scudetto in title 2022-2023, scoring 12 goals while also providing 10 assists.
After a disappointing 2023-2024 campaign, in which the Partenopei finished 10th, the forward has registered eight goal involvements – five goals, three assists – in Serie A this term, with Antonio Conte's side topping the table after 20 matches.
Kvaratskhelia will certainly boost Ligue 1 leader PSG's attacking threat as it looks to win a fourth successive domestic title.
"It's a dream to be here. I've heard a lot of very positive things about Paris Saint-Germain," Kvaratskhelia said
"I feel immense pride in joining this great club, and I'm really looking forward to wearing my new colours.
"I want to experience new challenges by coming here to Paris, new dreams, new goals. I want to improve so that I can help the team as much as possible and give my best."
