Oliver Glasner is delighted with Crystal Palace's away form but hopes they can translate that to Selhurst Park as they prepare to welcome Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Palace have set a new club record by winning four consecutive away league games after their 2-0 win over Fulham on Saturday but have won just two of twice on home soil in the Premier League this term.

The Eagles' recent uptick in form sees them sitting 13th in the top-flight on 33 points, while a win on Tuesday would see them leapfrog Tottenham, who do not play until Wednesday.

Glasner highlighted Palace's hard work to continue their impressive form away from home and is hopeful they can be on the right side of the result against Villa.

"Every single win was deserved," Glasner said. "It's not that we were lucky at all.

"The players did well. It was great commitment from them to get the results.

"We would lead the league table if we also win every game at home. It is the Premier League. Every game is decided by two or three chances."

Villa have accumulated nine more points than their opponents and sit eighth but are only two points behind Manchester City in fourth at the start of the week.

They are unbeaten in their last three league games, coming from behind to earn a 2-1 win over Chelsea last time out.

Unai Emery is not giving up on their hopes of qualifying for Europe next season but admitted their next few results could heavily impact their chances of doing so.

"It depends on how we are responding," Emery said. "The league is progressing, and the matches are becoming less, so we have to recover [the points] that we lost.

"But we are positive, and we are more or less trying to be strong again, astute tactically and mentally. We did business in the transfer window, and we need time to recover players. Each day and match is a test."
