Spain dominate World Cup individual awards
Spain dominated the FIFA World Cup 2026™ individual awards, with captain Rodri leading the way after being named Player of the Tournament.
Rodri featured in all eight of Spain’s matches during the tournament, playing a total of 819 minutes. He registered seven attempts on goal and completed 803 passes with an impressive accuracy rate of 94%. The midfielder also made 16 defensive interventions in central areas, succeeding with 94% of them. His outstanding performances throughout the competition earned him the adidas Golden Ball.
The FIFA Young Player Award, presented by Aramco, was awarded to Pau Cubarsí, who played a key role in Spain’s World Cup triumph at the age of just 19.
Unai Simón was also recognised for his performances, receiving the adidas Golden Glove.
