Forest tames Wolves to move level with Arsenal
Nottingham Forest recorded a sixth straight Premier League triumph, 3-0 over Wolves, to move to equal second in the Premier League.
Nuno Espirito Santo's moved level on points with second-placed Arsenal and just six shy of leader Liverpool ā which it hosts next time out in the league at the City Ground ā after another impressive showing.
Morgan Gibbs-White needed just seven minutes to find the opener against his former side before Chris Wood doubled Forest's advantage on the stroke of half-time with his 12th league goal of the season.
Taiwo Awoniyi rounded off a brilliant display late on, though Forest was still indebted to Matz Sels, who denied Jorgen Strand Larsen from point-blank range with the scoreline at 1-0 in the first half.
Larsen was the hero in Wolves' last outing, a 2-2 draw with Tottenham, but wasted a host of opportunities after also seeing a first-half effort cleared off the line by Murillo with the goal at this mercy.
Vitor Pereira was left to rue those missed chances as he suffered a first defeat in charge of Wolves ā his team remain 17th, just clear of the relegation zone and 18th-placed Ipswich Town on goal difference.
