A NFL Game Could Be Played At The Bernabéu
The NFL continues its global expansion, having held games in countries like Mexico, England, Germany, and soon Brazil. Now, it seems that a new addition to this list is in the works: Spain.
This could become a reality thanks to the "new" Santiago Bernabéu, which, with its recent renovation, was aiming to host an NFL game in the future. According to information from Diario AS, this could be officially announced this week.
Taking advantage of the Super Bowl LVIII week, which will take place this Sunday, February 11, in Las Vegas, the league would make it official that Madrid will be one of the cities privileged to host a regular-season game, and this would happen in 2025.
This would be the first time an official NFL game is held in Spain. Apparently, in the discussion to choose the venue for this event, the Wanda Metropolitano was also considered. Still, the league commissioners decided on the home of Real Madrid due to its innovative infrastructure.
