The Road to the Super Bowl: NFL Playoff Matchups Announced
The NFL Playoffs 2024 are here, and with them come the most anticipated games. Some of the standout matchups in the wildcard round include the Baltimore Ravens facing off against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC and the Philadelphia Eagles taking on the Green Bay Packers in the NFC.
The Wild Card Round Kicks Off
The playoffs start this Saturday with two games:
- Ravens vs Steelers: A classic rivalry in the AFC North, with Baltimore hosting the game after winning their division. (1:00 PM ET)
- Houston Texans vs Los Angeles Chargers: The AFC South champs, Houston, will host the Chargers, the surprise team led by Jim Harbaugh, who won the college championship last year with Michigan. (4:30 PM ET)
Sunday will be AFC time with these matchups:
- Buffalo Bills vs Denver Broncos: Josh Allen and the Bills take on the Broncos, the last team to secure their playoff spot. (1:00 PM ET)
The Kansas City Chiefs, AFC champions, will have a bye during the wildcard round and will be ready to host their opponents starting in the divisional round.
NFC Wild Card Round
NFC games kick off this Sunday:
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Washington Commanders: The Buccaneers visit the Commanders. (4:30 PM ET)
- Philadelphia Eagles vs Green Bay Packers: A showdown between the Eagles, the NFC's second seed, and the Packers, with the youngest team in the NFL. (8:00 PM ET)
And Monday will close out the wildcard round with:
- Minnesota Vikings vs Los Angeles Rams. (8:00 PM ET)
Teams on Bye
The Kansas City Chiefs (AFC) and the Detroit Lions (NFC) will be resting this first week as they were the top seeds in their respective conferences.
2025 Draft Order
The eliminated teams are already looking ahead to the 2025 Draft, and the selection order will be as follows:
- Titans
- Browns
- Giants
- Patriots
- Jaguars
- Raiders
- Jets
- Panthers
- Saints
- Bears
The selections from 11 to 18 will be for the teams: 49ers, Cowboys, Dolphins, Colts, Falcons, Cardinals, Bengals, and Seahawks.
NFL Wild Card Games
- 11.01: Texans vs Chargers and Ravens vs Steelers (1:00 PM ET and 4:30 PM ET)
- 12.01: Bills vs Broncos, Buccaneers vs Commanders, and Eagles vs Packers (1:00 PM ET, 4:30 PM ET, and 8:00 PM ET)
- 13.01: Vikings vs Rams (8:00 PM ET)
