LeBron James Has No Limits And Breaks Another Record: 50,000 Points in The NBA!
LeBron James became the first player to score 50,000 points in NBA history in the Lakers' victory over the Pelicans
LeBron James continues to break records in the NBA. After surpassing the record for points in the regular season and the most points in the playoffs, the longest-tenured and most consistent player in the history of the U.S. professional basketball league has achieved another milestone: he surpassed 50,000 points in his career. This achievement was reached last Tuesday during the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the New Orleans Pelicans (136-115), when LeBron scored his first basket of the game.

LeBron James' record and his historical consistency
Although LeBron was just one point away from reaching this milestone against the Los Angeles Clippers the previous Sunday, it was in the game against the Pelicans where he finally surpassed the 50,000-point barrier. He did so on a special day, as the NBA named him the Player of the Month for the Western Conference in February. With this record, LeBron becomes the oldest player to achieve it, surpassing Karl Malone, another one of the great names in the history of the league.
In addition, this milestone marks James' 41st Player of the Month award, another record in his impressive career. His last award was in February 2020. In that month, the Lakers achieved an outstanding record of 10 wins and only two losses, with LeBron averaging 29.3 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game. He also stood out with a 55.5% shooting accuracy, which included a 44.3% mark from three-point range.
The Lakers continue their rise
At 40 years old, LeBron James continues to impress with his level of play. In February of this year, he became the first player in NBA history to score more than 40 points in multiple games after turning 40. Although Michael Jordan was the only other player to score 40 points at 40 years old, LeBron surpassed that mark on several occasions, demonstrating an unparalleled level of endurance and consistency.
The Lakers continue their impressive streak. With their win over the Pelicans, the Lakers secured their seventh consecutive victory and their 13th win in the last 15 games. They currently remain in second place in the Western Conference, reaffirming their status as title contenders in the NBA.
