Thomas Partey Is Not the Same
Bad news for the Ghanaian center-back playing for Arsenal, as, due to the injuries that have plagued him in recent months, the 30-year-old footballer did not make it to the final squad of the Ghana national team to compete in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which will kick off in the coming days in Ivory Coast.
Thomas Partey has been a recent victim of injuries, the main reason for his absence in AFCON 2023. Likewise, after not being considered by the Ghana national team, the official version states that the player will stay
in England to recover from his injury and undergo rehabilitation to help him get back to his best form.
2023 was a challenging year for Partey, as he has not played asingle match since the October break. The most recent activity for the Ghanaian was on October 14 and 17 when he participated in the friendly matches for the
Ghana national team against Mexico and the United States.
Thomas Partey will seek to regain the level he maintained when he was with Atlético de Madrid, which led him to Arsenal under the guidance of Mikel Arteta and is currently one of the prominent teams in the Premier League
and the Champions League.
The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will begin on January 13 with the match between the host country, Ivory Coast, and Guinea-Bissau. All the action of this monumental African competition will be broadcast on beIN SPORTS.
