Ancelotti Responds to Brazil Rumors: "I'm Fully Focused on Real Madrid"
Carlo Ancelotti, current Real Madrid manager, has broken his silence regarding growing speculation linking him with the Brazil national team. The rumors intensified following Brazil’s crushing 4-1 loss to Argentina in the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
When asked directly if he had received any contact from the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Ancelotti was clear in his response:
“No, simply no,” he said. “My contract is very clear and I have nothing to add. I have a lot of affection for the Brazilian national team, their players, and their fans, but I have a contract with Real Madrid.”
Brazil’s crisis reignites rumors
The defeat in Buenos Aires sparked renewed discussions about a potential change in leadership for Brazil. Among the names floated by fans and media alike, Ancelotti once again emerged as a top candidate. Even Ronaldo Nazario, Brazilian legend and former Real Madrid striker, publicly expressed his desire to see Ancelotti take over the national team.
However, the Italian coach addressed that claim with a touch of irony:
“I don’t remember discussing this with Ronaldo. We’ve talked about many things when we’ve met, but not about that.”

All focus on Madrid’s decisive stretch
Ancelotti’s current deal with Real Madrid runs until June 30, 2026, and he reaffirmed his commitment to the club as they enter a crucial phase of the season.
“I’m used to this kind of talk. I have many things on my mind. What’s said about my future or the transfer market doesn’t concern me. I’m focused on this decisive part of the season—it’s very important.”
Real Madrid are in the hunt for LaLiga, the Champions League, the Copa del Rey, and the FIFA Club World Cup, making Ancelotti’s leadership vital in the months ahead.
For now, any possible move to Brazil seems firmly off the table.
