Cristiano Ronaldo Pursues Record Never Achieved by Anyone Before
Cristiano Ronaldo is on the verge of breaking a new record that no one has been able to achieve so far.
His team, Al-Nassr, isn't having one of their best seasons, as it's practically impossible for them to win the Saudi Pro-League since they're currently in second place, trailing 12 points behind the leader, Al-Hilal. Additionally, they were eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Asian Champions League by Al Ain.
However, their star striker, Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, is flying high to break another record in his career, one that currently nobody has been able to achieve. Cristiano is close to becoming the top scorer in four different leagues, a real goal-scoring monster.
Currently, after his hat-trick against Al-Tai, the Portuguese star has scored 33 goals and provided 11 assists in the 34 matches he's played this season in all competitions for Al-Nassr, which also allowed him to extend his legacy as the footballer with the most goals in the history of the sport (882).
For now, Cristiano leads the Saudi Pro-League with 26 goals, although Serbian Aleksandar Mitrovic is close behind with 22 goals to his name. However, Mitrovic was injured in his last match when Al Hilal defeated
Al-Shabab 4-3, so he could be out for several weeks, giving Cristiano a certain advantage.
The former Real Madrid player has been crowned top scorer in three of the five major European leagues. He was the top scorer in the Premier League in the 2007-08 season with 31 goals, La Liga's top scorer in the 2010-11 season with 40 goals, and Serie A's top scorer in the 2020-21 season, scoring 29 goals.
