Good News for Real Madrid: Bellingham Is Back
English midfielder Jude Bellingham is set to make his comeback for Real Madrid against Valencia, as confirmed by coach Carlo Ancelotti. Ancelotti also indicated that April 14 would mark the return of Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and Brazilian defender Éder Militao after their knee injuries.
"He is one hundred percent without any discomfort," Ancelotti stated about Bellingham, who will return to action at Mestalla after just one training session with the team.
"Truthfully, he hasn't trained much with the team, but he has done what he needed at an individual level. He is in great shape, has a good physical condition, and feels comfortable with his ankle. He is ready, and he will play tomorrow," Ancelotti confirmed.
Bellingham suffered an ankle sprain on February 1 against Getafe, missing four LaLiga matches and one Champions League game since then. Courtois and Militao, on the other hand, have been sidelined for the entire season due to knee injuries sustained by the goalkeeper before the first match of the season and the Brazilian center-back in the first league match at San Mamés.
"The plan is to take advantage of the break because we have two periods. From March 16 to 31 is an international break, and then there is a mini break due to the Copa del Rey final. They will start working with the team, and on April 14, after the Mallorca game, they will be available to play," revealed the coach.
