The Former Manchester United Player who Almost Lost a Finger Washing Dishes
Former Manchester United player Alex Tuanzebe, now playing for Ipswich Town, almost lost a finger after a freak accident while washing dishes.
Tuanzebe, who made 19 appearances for United and was part of England’s youth teams, cut his thumb deeply while doing the dishes. He had to be rushed to the hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery to save his finger.
The 26-year-old started in Ipswich's first six Premier League games but missed the last one against West Ham United because of the injury.
Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna confirmed that the center-back will be out "for a while" as he recovers from the cut.
