Barcelona's coach, Hansi Flick, praised his players' "incredible performance" against Real Madrid in the Super Cup final on Sunday, stating that they "already feel like a big team" due to the level they demonstrated in winning the title against a rival like Real Madrid.

Flick expressed that winning again against the white team and securing an important title made him "very proud," highlighting the manner in which the victory was achieved: "For me, it's very important how we played, the style, playing as a team."

When asked how the team could lose at home to sides like Las Palmas or Leganés but beat Real Madrid twice, the German coach replied: "I don't want to go back in time. Every game has its own aspects."

"We take it game by game, and they already feel like we are a big team. That's the important thing. I'm very happy for the team. We need to stay together and improve," he emphasized.

Proud of the Team

Flick acknowledged the red card to Szczesny as a delicate situation but praised the team's commitment to respond: "What I'm most proud of is the defense. We did it very well. When you only have ten players on the field, it's not easy to play against Real Madrid."

He thanked the entire squad, especially those on the bench, and specifically mentioned the two goalkeepers, Szczesny and Iñaki Peña: "We have two fantastic goalkeepers."

In addition to the positive aspects, he pointed out that his players can "do better," as some mistakes were made during the game, but insisted that the most important thing is to stay "focused and think about what's coming next."
