Will Inter Miami Play in the Club World Cup? Here’s What “Tata” Martino Said
Gerardo Martino, head coach of Inter Miami, stated on Friday that he has not received confirmation that Lionel Messi’s team will participate in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, but he views it as “very possible.”
“We all have more or less the same information: that it can be something very possible,” he said during a video call press conference.
“However, I reiterate something I mentioned the other day after the match (following the MLS Supporters’ Shield victory): I believe we now have the football foundations to deserve that spot, and that gives us a lot of peace of mind, regardless of how things are resolved later,” he added.
After Inter Miami was crowned MLS Supporters’ Shield champions on Wednesday, Martino emphasized that this title could serve to “justify” why his team might secure the final spot for the Club World Cup.
