Nacional Potosí secured their spot in the Group Stage of the Copa Sudamericana with a 0-1 victory over Universitario de Vinto, thanks to a goal from Dubán Palacio. The Colombian striker scored the only goal of the match in the 31st minute, leading his team to the next phase of the tournament. The win was marked by a couple of goals being ruled out by VAR, one for each team, making the match even more complicated.

Universitario de Vinto, playing as the home team in Cochabamba, started the game with more clarity and generated a couple of dangerous chances early on. Brazilian Wagner came close to opening the scoring, but his shot was deflected by goalkeeper Saidt Mustafá, who also denied a header from the same player. In the second half, Nacional Potosí held firm against the late attacks from Universitario de Vinto, who, despite their relentless search for the equalizer, couldn't break through the solid defense.
