The 2025 Copa Sudamericana semifinals are kicking off in style on beIN SPORTS with a heavyweight match-up between former winners and last year's Copa Libertadores runners up.

Ecuadorian side, Independiente del Valle, are two-times Copa Sudamericana champions (2019 and 2022) and have been running a conveyor belt of football talent that has already produced PSG's Willian Pacho and Moisés Caicedo of Chelsea. Independiente has high hopes for the next group of future stars including the Borussia Dortmund-bound midfield, Justín Lerma, along with Patrik Mercado y Darwin Guagua. All will need to be at their best to reach another Copa Sudamericana final. 

Independiente will be facing Atletico Mineiro over two legs. The only Brazilian team in the Copa Sudamerica final-four have a team stacked with talent including the ageless Hulk, Gustavo Scarpa and Rony. Atletico Mineiro reached the final of last season's Copa Libertadores, losing out to Botafogo. The Brazilian team also has a familiar name on the sidelines with Jorge Sampaoli currently in his 2nd spell as coach of Atletico Mineiro coach, having been appointed in early September with the aim of delivering more South American silverware to the club.
