Endrick Will Challenge Cristiano Ronaldo in the Copa del Rey Final with Real Madrid
Endrick became the first player to score five goals in a single Copa del Rey edition with Real Madrid since Cristiano Ronaldo in 2013
Not without struggle, after taking the match into extra time, Real Madrid will play in another Copa del Rey final after defeating Real Sociedad thanks to a late goal by Antonio Rüdiger. Atlético de Madrid or Barcelona will be their rivals at La Cartuja in Seville, where Endrick will challenge Cristiano Ronaldo to finish as the great hero of Real Madrid in this Copa del Rey.

Endrick is putting up numbers like Cristiano Ronaldo
Without many chances in La Liga or Champions League, Endrick has made the most of every opportunity Ancelotti has given him in the Copa del Rey. He scored the goal that put Real Madrid ahead in the first leg of the tie against Real Sociedad… and earned a starting spot at the Santiago Bernabéu last night, ahead of Kylian Mbappé.
Once again, when things got difficult for Real Madrid with Barrenechea's opening goal, Endrick came to the rescue, scoring his fifth Copa del Rey goal to become the competition's top scorer… and making him the first player for Real Madrid to reach this goal tally in a single edition since Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2012-13 season, when he reached seven goals… but it wasn't enough to defeat Atlético de Madrid in the final.
Endrick copied this Real Madrid legend
The goal came after a monstrous run behind the defense, finishing with a chipped shot that made everyone at the Santiago Bernabéu think of a Real Madrid legend like Raúl González. “When I was training with the Castilla, with Raúl, I would try those chip shots and miss. He told me, ‘Hey, you have to watch my videos, I chipped it really well,’” Endrick confessed after the match.
Exhausted from the effort, Ancelotti decided to take him off in the 66th minute, bringing on Mbappé. But while he remains humble, Endrick once again proved he deserves more opportunities with Real Madrid. “I’m here to learn, to develop, and do the best I can for Real Madrid. Here we have Vinicius, Mbappé, Jude, and Rodrygo. The four best players in the world. I’m nobody.”
