FIFA is preparing a globally scaled production that will bring together music, soccer, and an important social message inside New York New Jersey Stadium.

The spectacle will take place during halftime of the final, scheduled for Sunday, July 19, 2026.

Unlike traditional ceremonies, which are usually held before matches begin, the performance will require the field to be transformed into a stage and then cleared quickly before the second half gets underway.

The broadcast will last approximately 11 minutes, considerably shorter than spectacles such as the Super Bowl halftime show, but still long enough to bring together several of the most recognizable figures in the music industry.

A spectacle supporting a global cause

The performance will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative seeking to raise $100 million to expand children’s access to educational and sporting opportunities around the world.

FIFA reported that more than $50 million has already been raised, including one dollar from every ticket sold for 2026 World Cup matches.

A final unlike any other

The pre-match ceremony will feature other guests and special performances, but the spectacle headlined by Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakira, and BTS will take place specifically during halftime.

With a production prepared for millions of viewers, the 2026 World Cup will seek to turn the final between Argentina and Spain into an event that goes far beyond 90 minutes of soccer.
