(VIDEO) Highlights of Endrick's Presentation with Real Madrid
At just 18 years old, Endrick was introduced as the newest Real Madrid player to a packed Santiago Bernabéu. His presentation was a rollercoaster of emotions, including tears, laughter, and even a tribute to his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Brazilian forward took to the Bernabéu pitch to the tune of the Real Madrid anthem, marking his first steps on the field where he will play. He was greeted with words from Real Madrid's president, Florentino Pérez:
"This moment you're experiencing in this stadium was what you dreamed of as a child. The young boy who started playing football knew clearly that he wanted to be a professional and play for Real Madrid someday. That determination and conviction, along with your talent and sacrifice, have led you to fulfill that dream. Even at just 9 years old, you had the chance to share moments of football and life with the Fundación Real Madrid. You were able to see up close the values of this club and how they are instilled," said Pérez.
Endrick then delivered his first words, overwhelmed with emotion and tears, saying: “I have no words to describe what I’m feeling because I’ve always wanted to be here. I wanted to play for Real Madrid; it was my dream, and today it’s come true. I thank everyone.”
As Endrick spoke, his emotion brought tears not only to him but also to his entire family present. The stadium echoed with chants of his name in gratitude and support.
At the end of his speech, Endrick imitated his idol Cristiano Ronaldo by asking the Bernabéu crowd to chant: “Hala Madrid” in a countdown. He then posed with the 15 Champions League trophies of the club and took a lap around the field, thanking the fans who came to support him.
