Is Flick's Future Close to Barcelona?
After Barcelona's elimination from the Champions League, Xavi Hernández's future seems to be outside the club, not only because of the way they were eliminated but also due to his statements that he would leave the club at the end of the season.
The Blaugrana club continues to search for his replacement, and one of the favorites is Hansi Flick, who seems to be close to arriving. Recent statements from the historic German midfielder, Lothar Matthäus, have left the door open to a possible arrival of the extraordinary German coach to Barcelona.
"It's possible that nobody at Bayern trusts Flick to return as a coach. I would trust him because I know he is an excellent coach and an excellent person, but he doesn't want to return to coaching in the Bundesliga. As far as I know, Hansi Flick will no longer work in the Bundesliga. He is more focused on finding a club abroad," Matthäus declared to Sky Sports Germany.
While Flick is currently without a team and Laporta has a good relationship with the German coach's agent, not everything is written, but now more than ever, there is a possibility that he will arrive at the Spanish club.
