LaLiga Files Complaint Over Violent Chants at Mestalla Against Real Madrid and Vinícius Jr.
LaLiga has lodged an official complaint with the RFEF Competition Committee and the Anti-Violence Commission regarding violent chants heard during the match between Valencia and Real Madrid on January 3, as part of matchday 12 of LALIGA EA SPORTS.
Chants Identified
According to LaLiga’s report, offensive chants were recorded at 10 different moments during the game, originating exclusively from the Gol Sur/Mario Alberto Kempes Stand. The rest of the stadium's attendees displayed appropriate behavior.
The chants targeted both Real Madrid and Vinícius Jr., including:
- Minutes 11 and 32: "Madridista, hijo de ****, su **** madre por el **** lo disfruta."
- Minute 11: "Tonto, tonto," directed at Vinícius Jr.
- Minute 14: "Salta, salta pequeño canguro y a los madridistas que les den por el ****."
- Minute 20: "Diles que se vayan de una **** vez," accompanied by "tonto, tonto."
- Repeated chants such as "Que sí, que **** Real Madrid" (min. 32 and 62), "**** Real Madrid, **** Real Madrid" (min. 52), and "Madridistas hijos de ****" (min. 59 and 64).
- Minute 64: "Adiós hijo ****, adiós."
Valencia CF’s Response
LaLiga’s report highlighted that Valencia CF displayed messages on the stadium’s scoreboards denouncing any form of intolerance, racism, or xenophobia, reiterating the club's commitment to combating such behaviors.
This complaint forms part of LaLiga's broader efforts to fight verbal abuse and discriminatory actions in stadiums, urging authorities to take decisive action to eradicate these practices.
