More Injuries at Real Madrid? Here's the Situation with Rodrygo and Militao
After their first defeat of the season, a 1-0 loss at Lille during the second day of the Champions League, Real Madrid moved on and began preparing for the La Liga match against Villarreal this Saturday at the Santiago Bernabéu, where Brazilians Éder Militao and Rodrygo Goes will be available.
The center-back exited the pitch in the 57th minute against Lille, and although he finished with muscle discomfort, tests conducted on Thursday at the Ciudad Deportiva de Valdebebas ruled out any injury, allowing him to join recovery work alongside the other "Champions" starters.
Meanwhile, Rodrygo, who didn't play any minutes even when Real Madrid needed to score to avoid leaving Lille empty-handed, trained individually on the pitch, and the plan is for him to train at the same pace as his teammates on Friday.
Therefore, like Militao, both, according to club sources, will be available for the La Liga match against Villarreal, the third-placed team in LaLiga EA Sports.
For this match, Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti will not be able to count on four players.
Dani Ceballos is in the final stages of recovering from a sprain and ligament damage in his right ankle suffered in early September, as is Thibaut Courtois, out with an abductor injury in his left leg. Both will return after the international break.
Additionally, David Alaba, with an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his left knee, and Brahim Díaz, with a tear in the abductor of his right leg, continue their respective recovery processes.
