Staying or Leaving? Dani Olmo's Agent Speaks Out
Barcelona forward Dani Olmo's agent, Andy Bara, made statements revealing the future of the Spanish international.
The Dani Olmo case remains unresolved as Barcelona works tirelessly to find a solution. The latest to speak on the matter is the player’s representative, offering a message of reassurance.
Andy Bara, Dani Olmo’s agent, has expressed confidence that Barcelona will "find a solution" to re-register his client in La Liga. He emphasized that Olmo is fully committed to continuing his career in the blaugrana jersey.
"I believe in President Laporta and Deco (the sporting director), and I trust they will find a solution for Dani. It’s a huge club," Bara stated to the digital channel 'GiveMeSport.'
La Liga deregistered the Spanish international and fellow Barcelona player Pau Víctor on January 1, citing insufficient guarantees in the contracts presented by Barcelona regarding the lease of Spotify Camp Nou's VIP boxes. The league deemed the documentation inadequate to meet its financial control regulations.
Bara, however, believes that La Liga "should help them instead of these reports suggesting Dani is unavailable for the national team." He remains confident that Olmo "will stay at Barça for many years." The club signed Olmo last summer from Leipzig for €48 million ($49.6 million) plus €7 million ($7.24 million) in variables.
No intention to leave
The agent also reiterated that Olmo is enthusiastic about Barcelona's long-term project and has no intention of signing with another club, even if he ends up free due to registration issues.
"Other options or clubs? Barcelona is the first and the last option," Bara stressed. While acknowledging that "the best offers come when players are free," he highlighted that "emotions also matter" and that Olmo "has never made a professional decision based on money."
