Vitor Roque's dream debut at Villamarín
Brazilian striker Vitor Roque, on loan from FC Barcelona to Real Betis, scored the second goal in Betis' 2-0 win against Leganés in La Liga. Reflecting on his performance, Roque shared, "I never imagined debuting like this, at home, with a goal."
"I'm really happy, and I'll keep working hard. It's a dream come true. Not even in my wildest dreams did I think I’d debut with a goal. I’ve been thinking about everyone who’s been with me through the good and the bad times," said the young forward.
Vitor Roque thanked "God and Betis for this opportunity" and noted that this victory, the team's first of the tournament, will help "boost confidence" and stressed that "this win is important."
Signed this summer from FC Barcelona, the Brazilian even hinted at his goal-scoring ambitions, confidently saying, "More than ten, for sure," though he chose not to reveal his ultimate target for the season.
