What Happened to Mbappé in El Clásico Against Barcelona?
The French star of Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappé, was not only the protagonist for his goal but also for a tense moment that made the fans shudder. It seems that the player might have injured himself after a ball dispute with Jules Koundé.
In the play, as Mbappé was stepped on by the Barcelona defender Koundé and his foot got stuck in the grass, he ended up injuring his left ankle. This led to the medical team coming on to wrap his ankle so that he could continue on the field.
Here's how Mbappé scored the goal
Kylian Mbappé is still on fire with Real Madrid. After a difficult start, the Frenchman has finally responded, and he did so again in the Super Cup Final against Barcelona.
Mbappé put Real Madrid ahead early (in the 5th minute) after a “merengue” counterattack led by Vinícius Jr., giving them a 1-0 lead at the King Abdullah Stadium.
This is Mbappé's first goal in El Clásico, and not only that, but it's also the third final for Real Madrid in which the French forward has scored. The other two were the UEFA Super Cup Final against Atalanta and the Intercontinental Cup Final against Pachuca.
