Álvaro Arbeloa Asks for Real Madrid to Stop Being Undermined: He Asks for the Support of All the Fans
Arbeloa Fires Up the Bernabéu Ahead of Real Madrid vs. Monaco: “Whistling Weakens the Team”
Álvaro Arbeloa sent a powerful message to the Santiago Bernabéu crowd ahead of the decisive Champions League clash against AS Monaco: Real Madrid need full backing to get back to competing for titles.
“Whistling weakens Real Madrid,” warned the coach, who also denounced the existence of “organized campaigns to undermine the club” at a critical moment of the season.
After the Copa del Rey exit, Arbeloa highlighted the team’s response in LaLiga against Levante—a result that helped cut the gap to Barcelona and restore confidence.
“Real Madrid won their greatest titles when the Bernabéu pushed them,” Arbeloa recalled, appealing to the stadium’s historic atmosphere and its magical Champions League nights.
The coach also defended players targeted by the crowd, such as Vinícius Júnior and Jude Bellingham, praising their response and leadership under pressure.
The match against Monaco will be Arbeloa’s first as Real Madrid head coach in the UEFA Champions League and could mark a turning point: a win brings calm and support; a loss, maximum tension.
