Hansi Flick Wants More: “We Want To Reach 100 Points”
After winning LaLiga against Real Madrid, Hansi Flick made it clear that Barcelona still have one more objective this season: reaching the 100-point mark.
FC Barcelona once again proved their superiority over Real Madrid by securing their 29th LaLiga title in club history after a memorable night at Spotify Camp Nou. However, for Hansi Flick, the season is far from over. The German manager made it clear that the team’s next goal is to finish the campaign with 100 points.
“Now we still have three more matches to play. We want to reach 100 points. It’s still possible and that’s our next objective,” Flick said during the title celebrations. “We want to do it and continue focusing on the upcoming games 100 percent, just as we always do.”
Since arriving at Barcelona ahead of the 2024-25 season, Flick has completely transformed the team with a style based on high pressing, possession control and an aggressive defensive line. His impact was immediate: in his first season, he won the Spanish Super Cup, LaLiga and the Copa del Rey, with only the Champions League remaining unfinished business.
During that first campaign, Barcelona ended the league season with 88 points and 102 goals scored. This season, the team has not only maintained its level but improved it. With three matches remaining, the Blaugrana already have 91 points and 91 goals scored, while also successfully defending both the Spanish Super Cup and LaLiga title. Flick’s Barcelona has also established itself as one of the most attacking sides in the club’s modern history. Across his two seasons in charge, the Catalan giants have scored 193 league goals, a total surpassed only by the legendary teams coached by Pep Guardiola and Luis Enrique.
The German coach is now aiming to match the historic 100-point record achieved by Tito Vilanova’s Barcelona during the 2012-13 season. To accomplish that feat, Barça must win their remaining matches against Alavés, Real Betis and Valencia. Beyond the trophies and statistics, the title-winning night was also deeply emotional for Flick due to the recent passing of his father. The coach described the occasion as both “difficult” and “unforgettable,” while thanking his players, staff and supporters for their support.
“I’m very proud to have a team like this. Thank you for fighting every day — it feels like a family,” Flick said.
After only two seasons in charge, Hansi Flick has already left a major mark on Barcelona and established himself as one of the key figures behind the club’s return to the top of Spanish football.
