The promise was fulfilled just days later. Yamal and Inés García shared photos of the newest members of their family, with the couple pictured holding the two puppies and expressing their excitement about this new chapter.

The puppies are a male and a female Golden Retriever. However, the couple will have to wait a few more weeks before bringing them home, as the puppies are still too young to be handed over. The most amusing detail came when the couple had their first disagreement: Inés wants to name the female Coco, while Lamine Yamal prefers Bubalu. Faced with the difference of opinion, the footballer proposed a simple solution: let their followers vote.

There appears to be less debate over the male puppy. Copito is the chosen name because of his completely white coat. The poll to decide the female’s name began on Inés García’s social media accounts, where Coco initially held the lead over Bubalu.

The arrival of the puppies therefore represents the fulfillment of a personal promise from Lamine Yamal to his girlfriend, while also bringing a new responsibility for both of them.
