PSG Face Grueling March Schedule with Champions League, Le Classi que on the Horizon
Paris Saint-Germain is showing no signs of slowing down in a season where every match counts toward their title ambitions. A quick look at their calendar reveals a packed schedule that could be overwhelming if player minutes aren’t carefully managed.
PSG’s Marathon of Matches in March
Luis Enrique’s squad recently cruised to victory in the Coupe de France and is now setting its sights on the upcoming Ligue 1 match against Lille. Over the next four weeks, PSG will play up to six matches, including a crucial showdown in the Champions League.
March begins with a domestic fixture against Lille, followed by a pivotal clash with Liverpool in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 on March 5. Just three days later, on March 8, they will visit Rennes in Ligue 1, before heading to Anfield for the return leg on March 11.
Also looming on the horizon is Le Classique against Olympique de Marseille, set to take place at Parc des Princes on March 16. This will be followed by an international break, which could serve as a much-needed breather for the squad.
After the break, PSG will close the month with a Ligue 1 match against Saint-Étienne on March 30—a point at which they will know if their Champions League campaign is still alive. Should they advance, April promises to be another grueling month with at least two more crucial matches.
A Defining Month for Luis Enrique
With the Champions League Round of 16 looming, squad rotation will be critical to avoid injuries, which could prove disastrous given the intense fixture list ahead.
Domestically, PSG is in a comfortable position, holding a 13-point lead over second-place Marseille in Ligue 1.
As for their overall form, Luis Enrique’s men are playing at an elite level. Now, it's all about execution—delivering against a European giant like Liverpool while maintaining their dominance in domestic competition.
