Nice seems to still be struggling to find good form, as they fell unexpectedly 1-2 at home to Nantes, one of the bottom teams in the table. This in Matchday 27 of Ligue 1.
Mathias Abline put the visitors ahead in the 19th minute, putting pressure on Nice. It wasn’t until the 72nd minute when the hosts equalized from the penalty spot thanks to Terem Moffi. However, just a few minutes later, Nantes would regain the lead in the same manner, after a successful penalty kick by Mostafa Mohamed.
This match marked the fourth consecutive occasion in which Nice has failed to win at home, and furthermore, the result left them in fifth position with 43 points. Meanwhile, Nantes secured a valuable result in their battle against relegation, climbing to 14th place in the table with 28 points.
