Lyon look for early season restart with home win against Auxerre
Few clubs would have breathed a sigh of relief at the eventual closing of the summer transfer window more than Lyon. Like many teams in France, which have talented footballers that other clubs covet, once the business in the market is over, the business on the pitch can begin again. Lyon lost a key prized possession when winger Malick Fofana moved to Sunderland. Fullback Ainsley Maitland-Niles also moved back to England to join Everton. Nevertheless, Fofana was replaced by Japanese international winger, Keito Nakamura, who comes in from Stade de Reims.

Auxerre has had a rough start to the Ligue 1 campaign with a 5-2 loss to Lens, and then a damaging 3-1 home defeat against Angers. However, moves have been made in the transfer market with DR Congo international center back, Axel Tuanzebe, joining along with English striker, Cameron Archer, who comes in on loan from Southampton.
