The Messi Experience: Inside the World of Lionel Messi
The life of soccer superstar Lionel Messi and his string of triumphs has been brought to an interactive showcase that takes you through the Argentine's unique journey, marked by an elusive dream he finally managed to fulfill: becoming a world champion.
The city of Miami, the new home of the global soccer star, now hosts "The Messi Experience: A Dream Come True," a multimedia exhibit with cutting-edge technology that plans to visit up to 80 cities worldwide in the coming years, with Buenos Aires among its next stops.
The exhibition dedicated to the current captain of Inter Miami, which will remain open for two months in this city in South Florida (USA), comprises nine thematic installations and follows a certain chronological order, from his beginnings in his hometown of Rosario to winning the World Cup in Qatar 2022 with Argentina and his subsequent move to the MLS club.
Immersive projections, photographs, installations, and interactions with the captain of the Albiceleste thanks to Artificial Intelligence are some of the elements that attendees can experience starting this Thursday when the exhibition, set up in a hangar in the Coconut Grove neighborhood, opens its doors to the public.
The approximately 75-minute journey also includes an interactive area with games and ball skills, as well as a space dedicated to his time with FC Barcelona, the Spanish league team he joined to be part of La Masía and where he experienced his greatest club achievements, including four Champions League titles.
For the 36-year-old star, considered by some the best in the history of this sport, the beginnings were not easy, as he had to undergo growth treatment in Spain, and later faced criticism in his country before finally winning the World Cup, towards the end of his brilliant career.
Hence the subtitle of the exhibition, "A Dream Come True," indicates the executive, because while Messi's life is "a bit like a movie," it wasn't always so wonderful, and the player faced challenges, although he never gave up.
In a statement about the exhibition, Messi expressed his delight in participating in this project that showcases his journey "on and off the field," and offers the opportunity to relive "the most memorable moments and feel the emotions" that have been part of his career.
"Throughout my career, I have always strived to inspire and connect with people through my passion for soccer," added the athlete, who is expected to visit the exhibition in the coming days.
